The Role
We are looking for talented Adversarial Tactics Experts to join our remote Adversarial Tactics Division. In this role, you will partner with clients to strengthen their resilience and improve their ability to prevent, detect, and respond to real-world attacks. You will also contribute to incident response engagements, learn from active threat environments, and apply those insights to red and purple team operations.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives on understanding attacker behavior, enjoys technical problem-solving, and wants to continuously evolve their craft by working with some of the most capable defenders and responders in the industry.
What You’ll Do
- Design, plan, and execute realistic adversary simulation exercises to test client defenses.
- Conduct external and internal penetration testing engagements and identify vulnerabilities across various technologies, platforms, and infrastructures.
- Validate and enhance client detection and response capabilities through hands-on attack simulations.
- Collaborate closely with Sygnia’s incident response and threat intelligence teams to stay ahead of emerging attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
- Contribute to the development of new red and purple team methodologies, tools, and capabilities.
- Present findings and recommendations to technical and executive stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
What We’re Looking For
- At least three years of experience in penetration testing, red teaming, or adversary simulation.
- Strong understanding of attack methodologies, tools, and techniques used by modern threat actors.
- Technical expertise across multiple domains such as operating systems, networks, applications, and cloud environments.
- Deep familiarity with Active Directory attacks and defenses.
- Experience scripting or developing tools using languages such as Python, PowerShell, Bash, C/C++, C#, or Java.
- Curiosity and persistence to explore new technologies and uncover vulnerabilities.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical findings into actionable insights.
- Comfort working in fast-paced, client-facing environments and collaborating across global teams.
- Ability and willingness to travel occasionally, as needed.
Bonus Points For
- Prior consulting experience.
- Experience in application security or malware reverse engineering.
- Developing, extending, or modifying exploits, shellcode, or exploitation frameworks.
- Experience contributing to or leading purple team initiatives.
